Water tank reed sensor DeLonghi ECAM

In DeLonghi ECAM coffee machines, the water tank sensor is located inside the right side panel. It detects the position of the magnet placed in the tank and, based on this, determines whether the tank contains water.

If the message “Fill water tank” appears even when the tank is full, in many cases the issue is related to a faulty reed sensor or a defective tank magnet (float).

Important: Before purchasing, make sure the issue is actually related to the water tank level sensor and not caused by a damaged tank magnet (float). The exact fault can only be confirmed after diagnostics at the ATAR service centre — therefore, replacing the sensor is offered as a possible solution rather than a guaranteed repair.
